Description
RenoInGR aims to establish a One-Stop-Shop (OSS) support structure for municipalities and regions across Greece, focusing on the development and execution of energy-efficient building renovations. The OSS places particular emphasis on islands and mountainous municipalities, addressing the challenges faced by medium and small-sized municipalities nationwide, particularly the scarcity of human and financial resources required for building renovation project development.
The OSS will offer integrated services from the beginning of the project development such as feasibility study, co-creation of the financing plan, procurement, and implementation of the decarbonisation renovation design. It will advocate for project bundling to create sizeable projects and secure funding through the blending of public and private resources via Energy Performance Contracting. Furthermore, additional financing mechanisms will be explored.
Project partners
The coordinator of the project is the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), while the partners are the Region of the South Aegean, the Region of Western Macedonia, the Municipalities of Amphipolis, Central Tzoumerka, Antiparos, Tilos, AKOMM-Psiloritis Development Agency S.A. Organization of Local Government (AKOMM), the Municipality of Limassol from Cyprus, the Central Union of Greek Municipalities (KEDE), CRES, EVDITI LTD, the law firm "Kelemenis Legal Consultants" and the Bank of Epirus.
