Title: “Development of a Distance Learning Training Structure on the Design and Operation of Hybrid Power Systems – HYPOS DILETR”

Funding Program: Leonardo Da Vinci 2003

Duration: 01/10/2003 – 30/11/2005

Budget : Total €432.490,8, CRES €64.629,0

Project Description:

Development of a Distance Learning (DL) tool on the design, operation and monitoring of Hybrid Power Systems. Two DL courses are provided by this tool, their target groups being the designers of power systems and the planners of energy systems, respectively.

The course for designers is aimed at mechanical, electrical and/or power system engineers who want to be able to design and install hybrid power systems. The course examines the various generation sources and issues involved in their design and integration into a hybrid system.

The aim of the course for planners is to provide information on hybrid power systems allowing planners of energy systems to make informed decisions as to whether or not to choose a hybrid power system for their power supply needs.
