a) The dispositions of the Presidential Degree No. 375/87, which
provides its foundation, (Official Gazette of the Greek Republic No 167/17.09.1987), as amended by article 30 of Law 3734/2009,
b) The dispositions of its Operational Regulation (Official Gazette of the Greek Republic No 314/Β/89),
c) The appropriate dispositions of the National and European Law,
proclamates the following Call for Tender

SUMMARY OF THE CALL FOR TENDER

As part of the above named program which has laid down by the Hellenic Aid Agency of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the framework of the international developmental aid, the Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) is implementing a project entiteld:
‘Renewable Energy and Energy Saving Applications in the affected regions of Lebanon, via the installation of:
a) Solar water heating systems,
b) Testing and measurement facility of solar collectors with simultaneous transfer of know-how’
which pertains to the supply and installation of 350 (three hundred and fifty) Solar Systems for production of domestic hot water in Safad El Battikh, a village in the South-East of Lebanon and the supply and installation of a Testing Facility for Solar Collectors according to EN-standards in Beirut, Lebanon.

A typical Solar system for domestic hot water (aka Thermosiphon system) in this project, is a closed loop system with heat-transfer fluid, typically consists of flatbed solar collectors of about 2.0m2 surface and a storage tank of 150 lt volume.

The Testing Facility for solar collectors should comply with the EN-standards EN 12975-1,2 which specifiy the test methods for validating the durability, reliability and safety requirements for liquid heating collectors.

The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) and the United Nations Development Programms (UNDP) invite offers for an open tender in order to select the Contractor who will undertake the execution of the above project.

The interested parties from the date of the announcement of the present tender, could obtain from CRES’ premices respectively the Embassy of Greece in Lebanon, copies of the Call for Tender. Claim for participation in this call have all the private and public entities that operate legally in Lebanon and EU. The estimated budget of the project is 440.000,00 €.

All offers must be submitted to the Hellenic Embassy premises (see contact below), at the latest on the 30th November 2009, 12 o’clock local time, upon which time the supporting documentation for participation of the offers will be opened.
