CONCLUSIONS

•  The system selection and dimensioning have to be done separately for each type of technology (solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, small wind generator and micro-CHP ), because the main elements are different. Thus for:

•  PV systems some of the main elements on the basis of which the decision should be taken are the need of electricity and the intensity of sun radiation.

•  Small wind turbines are the necessity of electricity and the power and persistence of wind on the given location.

•  Micro-CHP systems a permanent heat load is needed. The CHP system produced electrical energy in addition to the head energy, which increases its efficiency to about 90%, i.e. in this case it is for energy efficiency .

•  The application of all three systems contributes for improvement of the environment and reduction of the harmful CO 2 emissions.

•  The European Commission supports their application and the different states support and subsidize the construction of such installations.

•  The permanent increase of the price of electrical and heat energy and the state subsidies, as well as the improvement of these technologies and the decrease of the equipment price contributed to decrease of the payback period to several years. This makes the investment in them very profitable.
