Project description:
The aim of the project is the installation of a demonstrative wind farm comprising five wind turbines of 3.01 MW installed power, at site Agia Marina Lavrio for the evaluation and demonstration of wind turbine available technologies.
The benefits of the implementation of the project are focused especially on:
The evaluation of wind turbine operation in the case of complex terrain topography
Evaluation of novel control systems, re-definition of operational strategies for the maximization of wind penetration in electrical grids.
Development of techniques and solutions for the minimization of production cost.
Obtainment of valuable experience from CRES side, which is spread to manufacturers and wind farm owners.
