Objectives
Long term objectives:
- to boost economic development and assist in fighting poverty in the Energy Community Countries
- Support activities targeted to combating climate change
- exploit natural resources in an effort to improve the energy balance of each country and reduce dependency on fossils fuels
- Reduce increased costs deriving from the dependency on traditional energy sources thus contributing to the effort poverty reduction
short term goals
- improve the living conditions of the socially underprivileged through applying energy efficiency measures in buildings
- increase the investment capacity and reinforce the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency market in the target countries, opening the doors to increased job opportunities
- Increase competitiveness in the target countries economies through the development of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency investment projects
- Improvement of national services through Energy Efficiency projects in public buildings
- Reinforcement of investment opportunities through implementation of Energy Efficiency pilot projects in buildings
- Capacity building and Institutional Development of Public authorities in order to enhance there services and allow them to be better prepared to design and implement the energy strategies for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in their countries
